Loose steering - what to replace next?

Over the winter I replaced both inner and outer tie rods, idler arm, and center link. However I still have alot of play in the steering wheel. Id' say the wheel can go a good 2-3 inches without getting response from the car. What's next?? Is there somethnig inside the column that can be worn out, or do I need to replace the steering box?

With 17's and fat wheels the car gets pulled around enough, not being able to respond to the quick movement gets kinda unnerving.

Try the rag joint! I replaced the entire front suspension system, but was still unhappy with the response from the steering wheel. I replaced the rag joint and now it feels really tight. Made a world of difference! Of course, mine's an '83, and EVERYTHING was worn out on it!!

I'd say your steering box is worn out if you've replaced all the linkage.
