Paging Steve Spohn:

Anyone know how to get ahold of Steve Spohn?

I have been trying to get ahold of him on the Spoh Tech line without success so far - so if anyone knows if he is out of town or just really busy - let me know what the deal is.

Thanks.

Karl,
I posted a new post this morning on this same subject and somebody deleted it! That odd, I wasn't rude about it. Was just inquiring if maybe he's a little burnt out or something and maybe that is why this is taking so long for the SFC's. Just feel he's probably losing alot of business, but I'm still hanging in there for a little while longer.

I've wondered the same myself. I'm still waiting to get a set of his SFCs and relo brackets, but I'm in no hurry to do so. I"ll get the SFCs when I'm ready and hopefully from Spohn, but if his production isn't ready when I am, sorry. I'll go somewhere else. He's done a lot for the site, especially the new server, and I appreciate it very much. But business is business. I just have to believe he's taking his time to get it perfect.

I've never been able to get ahold of him on the phone, but he has been very good about responding to e-mail. Try e-mailing him at tech@spohn.net and see if you can't get a response that way.

I wanted to send you a PM or e-mail, but since you have those options turned off I have to make a regular post instead. I just wanted to apologlize about being an @sshole to you over on the street-racing board. There have been too many times when newer board members show up and just start flaming other respected board members that don't happen to drive an f-body. It gets me irritated, and I usually hold my tongue. Somehow you managed to set me off though, and it escalated from there. I quit paying attention to that post after I realized how stupid the whole mess was and decided to forget it. Just wanted to say no hard feelings and sorry for acting like a jerk.

Good Luck!

I tried reaching him via e-mails & voice mails and did not get one single reply, got tired of waiting so I ordered a set of Kenny Brown SFC's from Thunder Racing instead. The KB SFC's cost me more $$$ than the Spohn SFC's would have but I think that they are well worth the extra $$$. I just could not wait for something that no one really knows when they will be available.

I am looking towards the Kenny Brown SFC's also. I liked the square frame design of the old Spohn ones, they where very solid looking. I am not as happy using the tubular design, I feel it is just used to reduce weight, but if spohn is going this route then I might as well buy the KB's which are availible now. He also sells an additional cross brace that will help.

McCon., Thank you and my feelings aren't hurt. I love a good debate. I'm probably more guilty for rousting the Mustang guys. They're not bad cars for the buck, I just think most of the guys that own them don't know much about "old school" horsepower and not much respect for it. ( I can lite the tires by dropping the car into 2nd at 70mph, no bullsh*t ) The car will do 70mph in first gear with 4.11's at about 8200 rpms

Old school HP= naturally aspirated, no turbo/ supercharger/ or NOS

Glad to know there are no hard feelings. Hate to have that sort of stuff hanging over my head. We're in a very competitive hobby that tends to produce strong loyalties and opinions about the way we think things should be done. It inevitably leads to people butting heads at one time or another.

Thank you gentlemen, both of you. Please feel free to chew my *** anytime though, I'm not always right and I love a good debate. I can take it.

As for the Playmates, we have a close friend of the family who is best friends with Hefner's personal secretary of 40+ yrs. She makes sure the car show is taken care of in the autograph department every year. Plus we usually get to enjoy their company at dinner after the event.
