Actually.... two questions.

One: Are all camaro's with 4wheel disc brakes 1LE cars? (I really don't think so, but i was just wondering what the difference would be between the two)

Two: I have a humming noise in the brakes when i press them at slow speeds. The car stops, but when i let off the brake a little bit it makes a deep humming noise. I'm sure its something simple that i'm just over looking.

Well, any help with those two would be nice. Thanks for the help ahead of time.

By the way... the car is an '89 Iroc-z.

 

No, they aren't. The 1LE cars have larger front and rear rotors with PBR aluminum dual piston calipers in front and PBR single piston calipers in back.

The good news for you is that the '89+ 4 wheel disc cars all have the "1LE" brakes in back. You'd just have to upgrade your font brakes.


Not sure what the cause might be. I've had a similar thing happen on my car and it's never been a big deal, so I never worried about it. Eventually it went away on it's own.
