proportional vavle
proportional vavle
Has anyone changed their brake proportional valve? If so, with what, a OEM or aftermarket? Is there anyway to tell if mine is bad? I want to do something to fix my weak rear disc brakes. I would hope this has been done before quite often since many people have this problem.
Thanks

The most common reason for weak rear brakes is a failed master cylinder. That is what I found on my car.
So while I was at it I replaced the master cylinder and brake booster. What a big difference it made. After all, the newest 3rdgen car is 10 years old. That's a lot of brake applications on an old master cylinder and brake booster. So I figured it's cheap insurance.
