Did a search and it was inconclusive because the bulk were concerned with drums to discs...

Friend has an '87 with cast iron calipers on a 10 bolt rear. I have an old set of PBRs off of my 9 bolt. With him changing his caliper brackets he should be able to mount the PBRs, right?

Is there anything else that would need to be modified?

He'd just need the plates and all the associated hardware to mount them, cables, etc.

I think he would be interested. Where are the shims used and how much are they?

 

The shims go between the axle hosing and the caliper backing plate. I will get some prices on the shims alone.

I have attached an image from my rear brake upgrade "CD" to help explain it.
