c4 IRS
would would it take to install a corvette C4 IRS into a 91 gta...i know it can be done because i know of a guy whos done it on a 89...i know the fuel tank has to be removed and a cell has to be installed but what do i need to do

BTW, you don't have to remove the fuel tank and replace it with a fuel cell. Use the search button. We just had a thread with pics recently all about this. Good luck.

My brothe has it done in his 87' Iroc. I can get pics of whatever you need to know about. It was a pretty straight forward install but it is very important to make sure you get in in straight or you'll have a bunch of problems. I don't think that this is something you should consider doing this in your garage unless your garage is a well appointed auto shop. Just my two cents.

Anyone who wants to to this conversion, let me know and I'll give you the contact info for a great source for the parts. He'll do a complete rear setup for between $650-$1200. The low end is a Dana 36 (base auto) 2.59, and the upper end is for a Dana 44 (sport auto & 6sp) 3.43(?). They range depending on miles and ratio, but that's a friggin' screamin deal. Also, he's got Vette seats (C4 & C5) at reasonable prices. I don't know what he'll charge for shipping, but he's got good stuff.
