I have a carb car with a dual snorkel A/c does any body make a STB for these cars that doesn't interfere with the dual snorkels??

 

I am not sure if it will clear the dual snorkels, but edelbrock makes a 3-point STB for TBI camaros. I know it clears open element cleaners but I am not sure of the snorkels. It might though. It does have a lowered area in the middle of the brace. I believe it was designed to clear the single snorkel, and it is a symetrical part so I think it will. I would call edelbrock directly and ask them.

I'd like to know as well if it will clear a dual snorkel set-up. I already have an open element & the edelbrock stb but I am thinking about ditching the open element for a dual snorkel.

 

If you have a carb and factory AC, the Edelbrock brace will not fit. It will hit on the top, back part of the compressor. The reason it fits TBI cars is that the compressor is on the pass side and sits farther forward. The only STB I know of for sure that fits carb is the one I have made by George Lara, and it will also clear the dual snorkel. But I don't think Mr. Lara is making them anymore.

 

I emailed Spohn last year and was told that he "should" have one by the end of winter. I haven't heard anything since.
