Pitman Arm Torque Spec?

Anyone know what the torque spec is when installing the pitman arm (1 5/16" nut)? I tightened mine to 150 ft-lbs, but it looks like the arm should engage further into the shaft.

thanks

Hmmm...
Although its not really the answer....
Is your center link level....
Measure the distance from the flat spots on the
center link to the a arm bushing bolts.

The overall geometry of the pitman to the idler
should be parallel.

If one side is lower than the other it would be good to know
whats what

Hey.

According to the Service Manual for my 91 the "Pitman Arm-to-Pitman Shaft Nut" should be at 185 lb. ft.

Well, that's definitely tight! OK, 185 it is. My torque wrench only reads up to 150, but if I sort of tighten the bolt past that, it'll be somewhere in the neighborhood of 185.

thanks all
