$1200 on chassis mods..what do you think

Guys,
These are the components I'm ordering, please give me your thoughts.... (1989 305 TBI RS, and no I don't want a 350 transplant in favour of the chassis mods ) I'm getting big wheel hop, and I know that these mods will kill that, just would like your opinions.

Mainly BMR from Thunder racing :
Street adjustable rear LCA's
LCA brackets weld in.
Adjustable panhard rod.
Front and rear solid swaybars.
Powerslot front discs.
Global West SFC's and wonderbar.

Also from Summit, STB.

ran out of dough for headers I'm afraid.

I'd pass on aftermarket sway bars...
A decent collection of sizes were available from GM...
Scan the classifieds, assemble a collection
three sizes front and rear can be assembled for 100 bucks

Assemble a collection of appropriate bushings (100 bucks)

And use these as your final tuning elements based on
what you like in the way of springs and shocks.

I hope you didn't pay a lot for the slotted rotors. They're not needed. unless your going for looks. Good pads and a well maintained system is enough for the 305. I like the rest. Should give you solid underpinnings.

Interesting comment about the sway bars, they are the most expensive item on the list, $270!

The discs are for show I guess, however the originals are shot and need replacing anyway.

I guess I could try and get some of this stuff on e-bay cheaper..I'm really jealous of you guys in the States 'cus you can get this stuff shipped real easy. I'll end up paying about $350 in shipping and customs charges to the UK.

Hey mate,

I would go for lower control arms, torque arm, relocation brackets, strut tower brace and subframe connectors.

The torque arm, LCA & relocation brackets will eliminate wheel hop and the STB and SFC's will change your car massively. Imagine no squeaks and and no scuttle shake!!

I have Southside machine subframe connectors and they are awesome (expect to pay £200 + for installation though). Think of it as an investment in the future longevity of your car. It also creates endless amounts of jacking points, It's almost like putting a proper chassis on your car

Think of it as whatever the cost is in $ you pay in £. So $175 LCA's would end up costing £175 after customs and carriage.

ZZ42,
Thanks for then "currency converter". Bit steep to weld the SFC's, gotta be done though.

Urban,
Haven't found anyone yet who'll ship COD to the UK. It's all upfront.
