which is better for drag racing , a v6 or v8 suspension?
i recently aquired a 82 Firebird , carbed 2 barrel v6 and obviously, you know what my other 3rd gen is ....since i have a motor being built , which would be better to use for drag racing, the trans am or the 82?

V6 front springs have a lighter spring rate. They'll help the front end rise a bit quicker. Other than that there is no real difference in the suspension.
Iroc's and WS6 cars have a heavier spring rate springs front and rear to improve handling. They also make the ride a bit stiffer.

Thats the same thing I said.
You'll get more weight transfer to the rear wheels with the V6 springs, so you'll be able to launch better. I don't remember off the top-o-me-head if yours has the WS6 package or not, but if it does, those springs are a little on the stiff side. Great for road racing (taking corners the way I do
) , not as good for straight line hook.
What exactly is your latest anyway? Last time I tty you'd just got the V6 car and thats about all I remember.
