Ride height from wheelwells

I have a '91 RS V6 that has been previously lowered by cutting the stock coils. It's too low for me and rides like doo-doo. THe front has about 3/4" before the stops.

I want to install lowering springs to raise the car (sounds dumb but that's what I want to do) about an inch and a half but still not up to stock height.

Measuring from the inside lip of the wheelwells to the ground I have 25 1/2" front and 26 1/4" rear with 215/60/16 tires mounted on stock 16" flat spoke RS/Z-28 rims.

I plan to go to 245/50/16's when it's tire time.

Can anone with a stock suspended car with the 245's give me their measurements so I can figure what drop springs to buy?

Thanks in advance to all who can help.

Eric

Not sure about your how your measurments will go, but have you thought about the sportlines from Eibach? They'll lower it pretty good and you'll have much better handling than cutting the stock springs.

I have 25" front, 25.75" in the rear.
That's with Eibach Pro Kit Springs, cut 3/4 coil front, 1/2 coil rear, and 245-50ZR16's front and 255-50ZR16's rear on stock 16x8" wheels.
Caster/Camber adjusters from Ground Control Racing, and 5/8" tall poly bumpstops give me almost as much suspension travel as stock.

Wow, 25" front is lower than I am now! UP and inch would be good for me, so perhaps if they were uncut they'd be ok. I can't think of the number of things or times the front airdam has been folded back double on me, Savannah's an old city full of rough streets, dips of death and railroad crossings.
Of course we have a six so no doubt I'd have to do some trimming to get them where I want them.
The Eibach Sportlines I have been told are a lousy spring by someone. I have to shop around, Suspension Techniques makes V6 specific springs that claim a 1" drop on all four corners.

Thanks for the measurements!

I posted this elsewhere, but I have 25.5" front and 28" rear. Eibach Pro-Kit, stock factory isolators installed, 245/50-16s on all 4 wheels. I hope the rear springs will settle a bit.
