Hood fitting

I have notices a strange thing with my hood... One year ago I could close the hood with no problem, but now it has only about 1 milimeter gap sideways between the fenders/nose. How is that possible? Can the plastic nose shrink or is it my chassi that has been twisted?
Cause sometimes I when I turn the wheels in slow speed, like backing out from the garage, I can hear a squeek in the right front of the car. I tried to locate the sound but I cant hear anything if I try to shake/lift the car .. I suppose it could be a crack or something... Would that be the reason that my hood has this problem?
