to anyone who has them... how long have you had them and have they cracked yet? I looking at the "baer 12"sport kit" cause of the whole thing on spindles and I still want to use my 92z28 rims for Drift session(with revlimit n crazyhawaiian). Ive read alot of warnings on purchasing these rotors;but no actuall stories of them failing. Oh yeah my Z is also my daily driver until I get like a s10 worktruck; so what do you think will be best for my " dailydriver-once a month Gmachine" application? thanks for any help
Drilled rotors should hold up fine for what you guys are doing. Drilled rotors should never be used for allout roadracing where you have repetitive slowdowns from 100+ mph speeds producing excessive heat.
Cars like the Trans Am series cars that constantly run from around 40mph to 140 to 60 to130 to 40 etc.. etc.. use only slotted rotors to help prevent warping and cracking. You'll hardly experience this type of heat with short track drift driving. They will work great for you.
(Slotted rotors have solid material still circumferencing the entire rotor surface. the slots are only indentures and do not have hole areas that penetrate through the entire rotor like drilled rotors do. Slotted and drilled work great for heavy street and lighter track use.)
