which sway bar is stronger?...
I have a 18mm solid sway bar. And my freind says I can have his 23mm hollow sway bar...which one would be stronger? I'm kinda guessing that my solid one would be stronger...but I'm not sure...anyone know? Thanks.

Just because its solid, that does not mean its stronger. The strength is in the diameter. As long as the hollow bar does not have really thin walls, the hollow will be stronger then the smaller, solid bar.
They are going to be about the same. They solid will hold its spring retention longer. The reason why they are about the same is because the extra smaller diameter mass makes the solid more like two or three smaller bars (18mm, 12mm, 6mm combined)whereas the 23mm hollow is just that. Remember though, 18, 12, & 6 do not add up to a 36mm hollow, 18 and 12 is more like 22 and then the extra aprox 6 bumps it to around 23 or 24.
These are not exact figures, just an aprox. guess to show the relation of a smaller solid bar next to a larger hollow bar.
