Converting Hardtop to T-Top Car

I have a 91 TA. 350 TPI engine which is a hardtop car.

Has anybody every taken their hardtop car and converted it to a t-top car ? If so what were the steps and was it successful ? What type of chassis reinforcement needs to be done ?

Step 1: Sell hardtop car

Step 2: Buy T-top car

It's possible to do the conversion, but a major hassle. Either you buy one of those "kits" that leaves you with a compromised car, or you buy a T-top car, cut the greenhouse off of both cars, and weld the T-top greenhouse on the other car. For what you'll spend in cutting cars up and modifying things, you can get the same result with the 2 steps outlned above for a tiny fraction of the cost and work and risk, and have a superior product besides.

hey I love my T-top no complaints. Few squeeks but a pair of SFC helped to reduce those. Add a roll cage and its just as good as any hard top.
