Ok this is somewhat of a strange question.

I want to rebuild basically the entire suspension of my car (84 trans am). It has all original components except shocks and struts, and they were generic replacements.

I was wondering if someone could list ALL of the suspension peices and bushings that i would need to do the whole car.

I do know that I need shocks, struts, springs, sfc's and maybe engine mounts. The rest of the parts I dont know.

I did a search too, the problem is a need a complete list
and most ppl are either doing front end or rear end, and they may not be replacing all the peices

 

Are you wanting front AND rear lists?

I'll give it a shot:

Front:

ball joints
inner and outer tie rods
center link
idler arm
tie rod adjusting sleeves
A-arm bushings
bump stops
motor mounts
poly dust boots (you get rubber ones with new ball joints and tie rods)
tranny mount
sway bar and end links
struts
front coil spring isolators

Rear:

LCA bushings
panhard rod bushings
sway bar and end links
torque arm mount
shocks
rear coil spring isolators

I'll assume you'll upgrade the rear LCAs and panhard rod so forget those bushings. Look into the ES master rebuild kit. I think it has most of the bushings you want. I used all ES bushings and Moog parts in my rebuild and couldn't be happier. HINT: Do the engine mounts while the A-arms are out, they'll be a lot easier to get to.
