VGX Shoes (Brakes)

I just picked up a set from summit for my rear drums. I have Hawk HPS brake pads on the front but I figure my rear shoes need to be done so I picked some up from my buddy Jeremey at Summit. I did some searching and I see mixed feelings about them. One guy said he loves them and someone else said they don't last longer then 6 months but are good until the 6 month hits. Just had a quick question for that guy, how hard are you on your brakes? I know a lot of it has to do with the way a person drives or they could just be ****ty brakes. Some useful experinces input would be nice, thank you.

I feel the same way about the Raybestos 'Brute Stop' pads. Great pads, stop on a dime, but mine only lasted about 10k miles. That was on my RS (grocery getter), and I do not drive that car hard. I've heard the same about VGX.
