Which aftermarket torque arm to use?????
I'm currently swapping out my SLP headers for a set of Hooker Long Tubes. I also have a T56 with the spohn crossmember. I would like to know which torque arm will work and what my options are. I would really prefer to have the torque arm mounted on the crossmember rather than the tail of the tranny.

I heard that the spohn torque arm will not work if you have to do a y-pipe. I'm not sure on this but this is only what i've heard.

I installed a BMR poly adjustable Torque Arm in the summer and boy can my car handle, havent had a chance to test it at the track yet but its a pretty good piece for $350.

I have a T56, spohn T/A and X-member, and an SLP y-pipe and headers. Consider that myth false. I also had his regular rectangular SFC fit fine with my single cat SLP y-pipe.

Derfrank- you may have to go with a custom Y pipe for the long tubes, but that may not be a bad idea....the Mufflex pipe seems kinda expensive. Any good muffler shop should be able to mandrel bend a 3" y pipe for a lot less.
