Who here has ground-control coilovers?
I was wondering, what is involved in installing these? I'd have to take my car to a speed shop to get them installed right? How do you like it? I looked at their website and it lists a price and says it can use any of the shocks they have listed, but will it change the price depending on which shocks I pick? I gotta go to school
so I'll get the rest of my questions on here later... Thanks for any help.

The price of the coilovers (or weight jackers) shouldn't change depending on the shock. They probably have one kit for every car, i.e. they don't have a Koni-specific F Body kit or a Bilstein-specific F Body kit.
I don't have weight jackers for my car (yet), but it looks like all you have to do is take off the front control arms and drop/lower the rear axle (not 100% sure ... haven't looked at it that closely). I don't think you "need" to have a shop install them. I'm guessing a shop will probably charge you anywhere from 4-6 hours labor.

the rear weight jacker kit from ground control has some welding involved i beleive (i dont' have them (yet))
you can get the rear adjustable ride heigth setup that has no weldign involved
i don't think that the ground-control stuff is actualy coil over "coil over" i though it was a wieght jack inserted into the spring... but am not 100% sureon that, because i do not have the kit.

I have them their very good. Pretty much its the same as where your normal springs go. If you can change your springs you can put these in. SImple as that man.

So they aren't really normal coil overs? My friend has coilovers on his civic, and the ride is pretty crappy, how's your ride revlimit? Which shocks did you get with your kit too? Does the price stay the same, but you choose any of them you want? And how easy is it to adjust them? Seems pretty hard with the wheel in the way... and I'm still kinda unclear as to how it is you adjust them. I'm just kinda looking into it right now, I'm not sure that I'd get them or not yet....

well there not "coil overs" really what they are is a weight jack system. Pretty much it pushes the spring up or down. But stays in the stock location. You can choose your own spring rates also when you order them. You can lower the front and rear about 3". If you want to raise (yes raise haha) the front can go like 5" up from stock (no I"m not joking it does look like a monster truck) and maybe like 2" up from stock in the back. You pretty much adjust the back by raising the vehincle and adjusting the **** thing. For the front you raise the vehicle and get a 1/2" ratchet with extention and raise it up or lower it. Its pretty simple really.
