How to set a totally adjustable suspension???
My Spohn Torque Arm hits the the DS LOOP....
enough to vibrate and loosen my crossmember bolts. They were torqued to proper spec and locktite was apllied on all bolts. Now, esp when the car is in nuetral (M6), you really can feel and hear the vibration of the trans throughout the whole car.
I have LCA's, LCA relocaters and an adj panhard bar. I installed the LCA's at the same length of the originals. I also have a 98 LS1 rear end in the car along with Jamex springs. All links are poly/spherical combo. The TA has a sperical.
My questions:
1.) How should the LCA's be set? Should the spring perches be parallel with the ground? Can I use the angle finder to set it to a specific degree? What is a convienent center point to make sure the rear end is square?
2.) What order should the chassic be set? LCA's, Panhard, T/Arm, sway bar. Should I relocate the sway bar mounts so that the bar is level with the ground at ride height? I cut the spacer to make it pretty close.
3.) What angle should the TA front rod make with the connection on the crossmember? Should it be straight up and down like the 3rd picture here ->
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=139814
4.) Should my crossmember have come with some type of insulation where it attaches to the frame like the one on spohn's web page has?
5.) Can I use some washers or shimes on top and bottom of the front TA mount to move it from the DS loop?
Another thing, I experience suspension bind (my back tires pop off the ground) when I hit a large enough grade.
Tired and confused,
Mike G
