I broke my rear subframe loose! Help! (same post as in Body & Interior)
Ok, I'm not sure if that's what the part is called, but the arm that goes up and down, and holds the rear suspension to the car. The panel supporting that broke at the weld underneath the rear right passenger seat. It looks like it rusted through the floor pan and there is a spot of carpet the size of a dime now visible from underneath the outside of the car. I had noticed that seat vibrating ecessively and a recent passenger noted that his leg was getting violently bounced up and down by the floor. The panel is merely separated and I can push it up and down with my hand, it hasn't been pulled away from it's original position it's just a bit concerning, this has been broken for 2 months now I would guess.
OK, so why do I need help?
I want to know what this is going to cost to repair and if getting SFC's will be a good idea or if this is a good excuse to get them. The underside of the car is in pretty good condition except for the side rails which I was planning to have repaired.
Any helpful information would be appreciated.

you mean the lower control arm bracket that mounts to the frame just in front of the rear wheel well broke loose?!?
get that fixed right away? would probably need to sand/grind all rust away from both bracket and frame, weld it back up, maybe with a plate inserted as filler and then coat with a good rustproof paint.
SFC's wont help because that thing thats broken is where most SFC's mount to in the rear. But, once fixed SFC's wont be a bad idea.

I don't know if you understood fully, the control arm is still firmly attached to the car, but the panel attached to the control arm is broken, I can't tell if there is any part of the frame atached to this.
Anyhow, I discovered that one of my acquaintances does exactly this sort of repair work so it's gonna be damn cheap... like $50 I do think I'm gonna get some SFC's also though. I hate trying to find jack points
