First off, I have done a couple of searches, but I just want to verify if I am correct. I know it can be a pain to have the same question asked over and over.

I am swapping my stock 87 drum rear to a 94 PBR disc rear. I am confident about everything except the proportioning valve. I looks like I could use any prop valve from a 90' and up rear disc car. Is this correct? So any fourth gen valve would work?

Also, could I use a prop valve from an 87 disc rear? I know it did not have PBR's but would it be fairly close to the correct line pressure?

I would perfer to use a stock prop valve so that I do not need to mess to much with the brake lines and flaring the ends.

You are incorrect. Find a GM dealer, and get a new 3rdgen Fbody valve.

I looks like I will use prop valve 14089496 as opposed to 10164112 since my car is a 87.
