a arm bolts
i', rebuilding my a arms, i have the ball joints and bushings and it seems everything i take off my car , the bolts break due to rust. any body change these bolts so i can buy them before or are they a dealer item?not some special item like allot of these things are?

It really helps to soak them good in penetrant a few days prior to working on them. If you do have to replace some, try to get a good one from your car and find a real hardware store and replace them with better quality stuff. If a junkyard is close, check there also. Otherwise, you're looking at the dealer. When you reinstall them, put a good coat of anti-sieze on them to keep them from freezing up again.

i've tried to soak them but the strut bolts and all the bolts on the rear broke- illinois winters i guess. the new ones have been antiseized.the strut bolts were a grade 8 these probably are too
always get new bolts when dealing with the suspension and not from the hardware store; that 2$ bolt that you think is a ripoff might save your life. all those pieces are under alot of stress and why risk breaking a bolt and wrecking. besides after they are torqued the bolts deform or stretch and loose their clamping ability

i changed my bushings and balljoints just a few months ago and had no trouble getting them off. I just sprayed them with some WD-40 the day before
