Re: Lower rear shock bolt?

i just read that in my haynes too, it also says "156 lbs in" for the top bolt...is that the same as 156 lbs ft??? seems like a hell of a lot if it is, wheel lugs are only 100!

Re: Lower rear shock bolt?

inch lbs are 12 times less than foot lbs. 240 inch lbs is 20 ft lbs

I just snug my shock bolts tight. Dont torque them to any specs, just tight by arm strength and wrench.

Re: Lower rear shock bolt?

Thanks
I did think it was maybe that, but it seemed too simple! LOL

Well as I have a torque wrench anyway it seems silly not to use it

Re: Lower rear shock bolt?

however, 156 inch lbsfor the top bolt seems very light to me

i just compressed the bushings to about even with the washer
