Ok, this question has probably been asked before, but for some reason my computer won't let me search. So, if anyone would be kind enough to tell me if it's possible to put vette brakes on a thirdgen, i would appreciate it.

Oh yeah, I'm talking about brakes from a C5, my friends dad just put Baers on his vette, and he'll give me the old brakes to put on my camaro when I finally get another one. Also, if ot's gonna be alot of work would it be worth it?

 

to my knowlage vett brakes are almost identical to Bear brakes, the baer brakes were based on the vett brakes. So I guess you sould be able to but them on your car, you might want to call baer and ask them.

 

C4 brakes are idential to 1LE brakes, and vise-versa

 

I believe that the C-4 rotors are thinner than the 1LE, and the slot in the caliper for the brake pads is thinner accordingly. I have some personal experience with this. A C-4 caliper with brake pads will not fit onto a 1LE rotor. Or at least it didn't for me.

I should have been more clear. The C4 brake pads are the same as 1LE brake pads. My C4 has 13" rotors.

& my C4 still stops way better than my 89 1LE
