performance springs

in your opinion and experience, what is the best spring packadge for auto-X ing? the Eibach Pro - Performance Lowering Springs, or the B+G Sport Springs? they are both the same price. the B+G Sport Springs lower the car by 1.3" front and 1.0" rear, the Eibach Pro - Performance Lowering Springs will lower it by 1.25" front and rear.

thanks
anthony

Which Eibachs? The Pro-Kit or the Sportlines? I just ordered the Pro-Kit. The Sport lines advertise a 1.5 - 2 inch drop. Too much for me. And the guy at Shox.com told me the Pro-Kit is a better handling spring and a stiffer spring as well. But if your looking for a nice dropped look the Sportlines would be a good buy.

I have an 87 IROC-Z I autocrossed with stock springs and Monroe Formula GP shocks. It's been years since I autocrossed, but I was laying down times in a F stock car that were only 2 tenths off SS (Super Stock), and a couple of times I even beat the SS guys. I don't think a super stiff spring is the answer in autocross. I think if your stock springs are in good shape, then get some good shocks (I just put koni yellow's on the back today) and give it a try. Remember it's 90% driver and 10% car.

I just purchased the Eibach pro kit from Thunder Racing, I opted for the Eibach pro kit because from what Ive seen from friends that have 3rd gen Camaro's that these springs provided the best stance and ride quality, the sportlines were a little too low for my taste.

sorry, they would be the pro kit. i want to set my car up in the long run to race in a speed GT type race, and would also auto-x it. i am in no way worried about ride, i just want to be able to take corners in excess of 100 mph on the race track and still have the option to drive it on the street and on actual road tracks.
i also dont want the car to have that slammed look either, so the drop on the pro kit would be just right with the 18" wheels i want to run.

thanks
anthony

i will most likely go with the eibach pro kit, alittle lower with better handling.
