I have some STB & SFC Questions...

I'm very serioursly considering installing Spohn SFC's and the Tubular Steering Brace and I more than likely will but I have a couple of questions about STB's...

All of the STB's I've seen require you to drill holes in your strut tower, I obviously don't want to do that. Does anybody make a STB that simply attaches to the bolts at the top of the strut tower that hold the strut in place? Does anybody have a direct link?

This will all be for my GTA....

Thanks!

Yeah but I heard the Mac's are pieces of S*it.

I might be SOL because some gyus in that post were saying that it would hurt the front wheels alignment to have them bolted to the tpo of the strut mount

I REALLY want one. If I did get a traditional style and drill bolt holes, could the holes be repaired properly in a restoration of would you have to weld in new strut towers? See, I want to be able to remove the STB for car shows and only have it on the car when I driving it around....

Ok, I decided that I want to go ahead and drill the holes to install a STB.

1 last question; I'm going to buy the Spohn tubular SFC's, the Spohn wonder bar, and the 3-pt Edelbrock STB. Being that my GTA has T-Tops, will these keep my car stiff enough that my windwshield will NOT crack from using the 3-pt STB???? I do plan on auto-x equivilent driving through winding mountain roads which do have some potholes and the last thing I want is for my freakin windshield to bust! If there is ANY chance that could happen, please tell me so I can just get the 2-pt...

(i am not saying it can't happen, but i have yet to meet someone who has had any problems with a 3point brace.

I have Kenny Brown sfc's and strut tower brace, beat the hell out of the car autox-ing, potholes, train tracks, etc. Never had a problem with the windshield cracking. I believe most of the load is on the cross bar connecting the two strut towers together.
