If the other bar is bigger than the one you have now, then it will make a big improvement. But to realize the max potential of your car you need both front and rear bars. I've got the 34mm on the front, and 24mm on the rear. It handles pretty well, but I'm going to go to the 1LE 36mm bar on the front to try and cure some looseness in the rear of the car.
Bigger
I am sure it will be. i will try and get the measurements to find out for sure. i am sure it will. Do the 4th gen and 3rd gen sway bars interchange? I can find plenty of those around here fairly cheap..

From what I read, the rear interchanges, the front does not.
Boy, you are lucky having 4th gen cars available to you for parts.
Where I'm at a 4th gen disk brake rear commands $1000. And, there are no 4th gens in the u-pull-it yards, and damn few 3rd gens.
