I'm rebuilding my rear end on my 92 GTA and while I'm at it I figure I may as well upgrade to rear disk brakes too.

Exactly what parts do I need for the swap aside from the SS brake lines?

First, how many splines are my axles? Do I need new axles? Are the brake calipers attached to the rear axles? What years will work on my car? I also plan on replacing all 4 rotors too so I don't need those either. What proportioning valve do I need? I assume I need PBR calipers for my year but where do I get those?

I'd like to get an exact list of everything I need so I can start looking for the stuff. I did a search and only found posts like "you need a proportioning valve" and "you need e-brake cable" but I want to know the details? Ok, proportioning valve, what's the GM P/N of the one that will work? Etc. I also read that stuff from the same exact year is the same so like if I got rear calipers from a 92 I wouldn't need a new proportioning valve because mine will work on drum or disk, is this true?

Thanks!

Hey Alex,
The thread in the link below should answer your questions. Also talk to ANDYZ28 about the conversion. His CD-ROM also does a good job of showing the process. Are you planning to modify your present rear axle?

Hope this helps, I plan to change to rear discs too sometime after my front 1LE swap.
