Soon as I get normal exhaust again Im gonna lower mine. That suspension looks awesome. I was gonna get new heads this summer but I think Ill tackle suspension/rear end first. Would be better mod for the money right now.

It's adjustable. It comes with a set of spacers to adjust the position of the heim joint.

I have my appointment for a "bump steer alignment" on Monday. Will be interesting to watch it done and then drive the car with everything set up right.

BTW, I drove my car around "as is" for about 1/2 an hour. When I got back and looked at my tires I was amazed to see how much they had been scrubbed. Just goes to show how important a good alignment is to tire wear, among other things.......

Thats the steering brace, or "wonderbar" as some call it. Thats the adjustable model.

It goes:

Sway Bar---->Wonder bar----->Power steering return line...i think

Nope, they are too completely different things. they mount up in the same place but they serve two different functions.

What is the purpose of an adjustable wonderbar? What are the benefits of an adjustable over the standard version? Nice updates Tom,how did the interior work turn out?

Steve Spohn says it is to "Pre-Load" the brace.

personaly i don't see the purpose of an adjustable one, other than marketing but once again, i have not tried one, so who knows maybe it does help a little, but personaly i have always considered the wonder bar to be a peice designed to PREVENT damage, not as a part used to "improve handling".

It looks as if your rotors are on backwards according to the Baer website.
Failure to install rotors in the correct direction will cause premature failure.
Internally all Baer rotors are directionally ventilated and they must rotate in the correct direction of rotation to obtain proper airflow for cooling.

They are on right. Don't mistake the rear end for the front.

As far as the wonderbar goes, would it be just as, if not more effective to weld in a piece of square tubing just forward of the steering box and at it's opposite spot on the other "frame" rail?

Do you have any pics of the car on the ground with the Intrax Springs? I'm looking to get rid of my Jamex springs, but I dont want to go much lower than I already am. How did the Bump Steer Alignment go?

HMS mounts....

Where can I get a hold of these HMS strut mounts?

They look pretty beefy. I've been lookin for these and can't find them anywhere

I may go with the AGX strut, but set mine to "loose" for drag racing/wieght transfer.

Are those Baer Tie Rod ends suitable for daily driving on the street, both in terms of ride and reliability?

You'll be hard pressed to find a set of HMS mounts out there. Karl has only made 2 runs of them and who knows if and when he'll make more. You'd have to contact him directly at Hunter Motorsports. He's a board member also.

I'll sell ya mine...brand new and still in the box: $1000.

I didn't find a website either.

Dewey, I don't know when I'll get around to putting them in. I was gonna wait until I got a set of Bilsteins but that may be a while, so who knows...maybe this fall.

Any reason why those HMS strut mounts couldn't be chromed, and if not, would that remove the visibility of the bead lines from the welds?

I had mine on for a week or so just to make sure things fit fine- they looked like crap so I pulled them off and had them polished. They are finally going back on next week along with my Koni's and Goodyear F1 GS-D3's. I'll get some pics when they are back on polished.

Another option

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33564

I have a pair of the standard size slotted rotors from this seller on the rear of my car currently. No complaints thus far. I also have a pair of his 1LE slotted rotors waiting to go on the front. You can't beat the price.

metalhead... the bars go like this..

from left to right in the pic posted, sway bar, wonder bar, power steering cooler (the tubes themselves do the cooling), and then you see the radiator support.

I had an '86 that ran the ps. cooling lines up to the front bumper then back again, my '88 has them in the same place as the pic above.
