OK...today and yesterday used a hack saw to pull a 23mm rear sway and a 36mm fromt sway off a 91 formula with the Performance Susp. badge. [ salvage yard]
I have a vert Z28 with the F41.
I am very stoked and cant wait to get these guys on.
I'd like to repaint the dirty new bars I got and was wondering how to prep them and what paint to use. Anyone with know how?
ALso, I lowered my susp with the Eibach Pro-Kit. I am buying poly bushing/bolt end-link setups for the new sway bars. Should I keep the same length sleeve on the end-link or should I go with shorter ones? Does this even make a diff?

Actually, that should be a 24mm rear sway bar you scored which makes the set-up you have the WS6 option.
As for the sway bar end links. Check the fronts when you get the car togtether. If the sway bar ends are pointing up toward the engine, then YES shorten the sleeves. You want the bar parallel to the pavement.
As for painting the sway bars, you can't beat powder coating and it shouldn't cost much to do them.

Well....I'd like to sandblast them or powder coat them, but I don't know if I have the $ to do it.
I cleaned them last night and was just considering using a a wire pad to scour the rust off and then painting them.
I'll look inot it and check out that por-15 while I'm at it. Thanks.
