What size are spohn swaybars in mm?
I was wondering, what size are the spohn swaybars in mm? I have this program that converts and it says they're 33.3mm front and 25.4mm rear, but I'm not sure as to how precise it is. Does anyone have a number, Mr. Spohn could you possibly help me out if you see this? Thanks. I seem to remember them being posted in mm a long time ago, I want to say they were 36/24 but I'm not sure....
Thanks.
Thanks.
34mm front & 25mm rear
Don't judge sway bars strictly on outside diameter. The bar type (solid or hollow) and the material type (carbon steel vs. 4140 chrome moly) and the manufacturing process (cold bent vs. hot bent) are far more important.
Alot of people think, oh, that bar is 34mm, well then the 1LE 36mm would be better because it's bigger. Our 34mm solid 4140 chrome moly hot formed bar will vastly outperform a stock 36mm GM hollow carbon steel bar.
We put a lot of R&D into our sway bars, and the best balance and performance was with the 34/25 combination. If I wanted a 36mm front I could have them made in 36mm, but with the quality of this material and manufacturing process, it was too much bar, the 34 works much better with our set up.
They'll also be available powder coated red or black in the very near future...by popular demand

Thanks Steve, I knew there was some engineering behind it, I was just wondering what their sizes were. So the 36mm is hollow, and the GM 24mm was solid right? I'm trying to make my car completely Spohn, all I'm waiting on is the 3 point strut brace... I'm kinda leaning towards the hotchkis right now, it's been growing on me.... but I'm holdin out for yours
Thanks for the clarification... I'll be waiting on them in red too
