back halving?

back halving?

a friend and i have a project 84 camaro and thinking about back halving it and putting in ladder bars.... never done anything like this and was wondering if anyone has? how would i go about doing it and if you could point me in the right direction (sites, books, etc) thanks.

If you want it done right, take it to a chassis shop. It's not something that a general back yard mechanic can do.

i believe one of the alston bros. wrote a book on it, chris i think. you'd have to have a pretty well equiped shop and a fair amount of ability to do it. never done it but i ithnk with a little reasearch i wouldn't be afraid to do it in my garage.

well i definitely have the tools/fab skills needed but i wanted some more info... preferablly a book... so ill checck that out thanks

hah yeah man my cars coming along now were tearing the **** out of that old camaro you used to have
