ARe the steering columns interchangeable. I am putting a LT1 in my car and I am thinking it will be a lot easier to wire the ignition if I had a 4th gen with all the wires pre-hooked up. I just have to do a little cut and splice.. Anybdoy know or ever tired?

If you do find out let everyone else know, I'd much rather use a working 4th gen column then a busted up 3rd gen column.

 

Surely somebody has done this???? I might end up seeing if I can get a cheap one out of a junk yard to test fit since no one on here knows!!! This may be the first unanswered question on this board.
