performance suspension

ok, i have an 88 ta that has the performance suspension. i just replaced the rear sway bar mounts and bushings. that bar had a 1" diameter. does anyone know offhand what dia. the front sway bar is? i looked and the bushings the other day and they are worse than the ones on the back were.

Get a micrometer to test it out first. You sure don't want to have the wrong ones.

You don't need a micrometer. Just get a cheap slide caliper and measure them first. You can get one from a hardware for under $8. Your swaybar if original should be metric. I'd guess that an '88 T/A with a WS6 suspension would have either a 34mm or 36mm front swaybar.

Most parts stores have a mic or a caliper behind the counter that you can borrow; then you don't even have to buy one. Remember to check it right in the middle of the bar though, not towards the end where the bar is slightly flattened.
