Steering wheel installation problem

I hope this is the right forum =D

Anyway I kinda..broke the C ring thats on the steering wheel column..the one before the canceling cam. Anyone know the correct size of this C ring..or a part number?

Alson I replaced the power window motor..and i'm haveing trouble getting the tracks back in...anyone know of a site that shows one in..or some hints about putting it back in?

Thanks,
Michael

You mean that damned impossible-to-remove lock ring? It's probably a dealer part... just had to change the ignition switch on my car this past Friday. That lock ring was a pain. Finally got the idea to use my set of picks on it to get it off the column.

I assume the dealer can get one; it's a pretty common part across all their car lines.

Oh; that one, my bad. Yours had the holes for the pliers? Mine was some kinda oddball shaped triangular ring; completely threw me off. (And I have snap ring pliers, too.) Wound up using a set of needle nose pliers on 'em- I opened up the needle nose pliers, which expanded the ring.

With the window; you took out the tracks, or just the regulator itself? Hopefully just the regulator; the tracks will be a nightmare to adjust (to get your window aligned again).
