1le rear brakes from donor car

1le rear brakes from donor car

can i jus swap these 1le brakes right over to my rs without problems? i cant swap entire rear the 1 le rear is broke its from a 92 ws6 trans am and i wanna put them on my 92 rs any help greatly apprecated thanks

I believe the fronts will bolt right on but you need to use the 1LE spindle, use all parts off of the front of the donor car, I believe but not sure that you might need the M/C and Porp valve.

i jus have a donor rear i need to take brakes off of ill do the fronts later i have a complete rear but nothing for fronts do i need to jus drill new holes and put it all on thanks

If your RS has drum brakes like the rest of them, then no, it's not really possible. The flange on the axle housings where the backing plates go is completely different between drum and disk rears.

yeah i jus noticed that i thought i could drill the new holes like the ws6 rear has i have drum now thanks guys

repair the disc brake rear if isn't too far gone. what's wrong with it? that would be your best option.

posi in its chunked and its only like 327 gears i have my rear built with 373 alburn posi so i need to hang on to it thanks

Axle/Gears: 3.70 9"ford alum chunk,dana44,9bolt
you can put 1LE brakes on a drum rear you just have to remove the drum backing plate cut off the top part of backing plate bracket hold your caliper mounting plate on axle housing and drill new holes 4 it and it will all bolt together I have done this countless times oh yah don't 4get to turn axle flange down to fit inside the 1LE rotor we didn't change perportioning valve and things worked ok but you might get better performance w/ adjustable valve good luck!!!
