NO!!! You do not want to drive without the track bar unless you want your rear end go to sliding left to right on every turn. You can though drive without the track bar brace, but not without the track bar

I lost a bolt out of the track bar (panhard rod), right when I was going to back outta my driveway. I wondered what the banging noise was... the whole rear was swaying to the side from the torque of the engine, and my u-joint was smacking my intermediate exhaust pipe!!

Got out, nudged the back of the car (thought a shock blew)- and the whole car swayed back and forth like crazy. My stomach dropped; thought my car cracked in half! Got under, saw the track bar just sitting there, disconnected.

I don't know if I'd even drive with the track bar brace disconnected. That makes the body bracket (passenger side) stronger. You might wind up ripping the body bracket right out of it's welds if you drive "just" with a track bar.

A lonnng time ago, I noticed I had a bolt missing from the track bar brace on the driver's side (there's three 21mm bolts there). Got one from the dealer for $2, put it in- and wow, handling improved! Go figure... from just one missing screw... and I remember thinking "Well, there's still two in there... hell, I've got nothing better to do, might as well put one in there."
