how much spring to cut 4 lowering

anyone know just how much spring to cut (both front and rear) for lowering a 3rd gen f-body??? I would experiment but I don't have an extra set of springs to play with.

This is a bit time consuming, but if you aren't sure how much to cut, just cut an inch or so off at a time, reinstall, and see how it looks. If it's not low enough, cut again.

I do see a lot of guys on here who cut half a coil at a time, so you could start there. I may cut my RS springs when I do the ball joints and bushings and I plan on only cutting about 1/3 coil and that's it.
