Suspension shot?

Hey,

My 91 RS has stock 16" rims and original suspension.....when ever back up to fast, or on a hill......or go up an incline to fast my tires rub the inside of my wheel wells.

Could I have the wrong size tires on there or something? Or is my suspension just that bad that it doesn't hold the front of my car up anymore? It has done this with the last 2 sets of tires I had put on my car, this time being worse then the last, but before that it never scraped the inside of the wheel well.

And if my suspension is just shot well then how could you lower the car without it rubbing the inside wheel well or for that matter put wider rims/tires on the car.

I'm a little confused.....forgive me I'm a newbie

Tire size should be written on the tire correct?

Factory tire size is 245/50/16 (ZR rating, but anything for H or Z will work)

Yes it will be written somewhere on both sides of the tire.

Speed rating. I think Z rated is safe for 145mph+, H is for 135mph (* I can't remember if that is 135+ or up to 135.) Head to discounttire.com or something to find out. Or try the search button for tire ratings.

No, probably not your suspension, but maybe your springs.
