Shocks for a Firebird

I need to put a full set of shocks on an 82 Firebird 2.8L V6. I don't know what type of shock should go into a Firebird and the auto part stores are no help as there are no listings for Pontiac on any of the shock catalogues. I know that the three main shock suppliers over here are Monroe, Gabriel and Eibach. I am not looking for anything preformance just a standard set of shocks. Would anyone be able to help me out with some part numbers for the above listed suppliers.
If I had a part number then I could see I can get them at any of the local auto stores or maybe even get them ordered in.

I just went to autozone and they gave me the gabriel gas ryders....im pretty impressed with them for only 19.99 a piece and a piece of cake to install, try another parts store...They SHOULD have it in the computer....but for the price the gas ryders are pretty nice

Shock For a Firebird.

There is only one problem I live in Ireland where American cars are few and far between and no parts. Well it is good to know that you have Gaberial Shocks in the US. Do you know what part number is on the shocks you used. If I know the number of them then I can try and find them locally. Is there different shocks for a Trans Am and an ordinary Firebird?.

Try e-bay, you might have to look for someone who is willing to ship them to Ireland, but It's worth a try.
like these.. HERE

Summit might also be willing to ship some to you.
If you want KYBs the part # is ....
Front strut.. 236001 $49.95
rear shock.. 343211 $16.95
of coarce you will need two of each.
Thats about $140.00 plus shipping

SUMMIT
Hope that helps a little.

Shocks for a Firebird

Got a full set of Gas shocks from the UK. I contacted a guy who was bring over a 79 Firebird and he brought the shock over in the trunk. The shocks I got are Gabriel.
