Difference between Konis for 14-15" wheels and 16" wheels

Why does Koni list two different types of shocks/struts for our cars? What are the differences between them? Mine would fall into the 14-15" category, but I plan to eventually put 17" or 18" as I get the money for them. Any insight?

I have wondered this myself.

My "GUESS" is that the strut housings are identical in size and shape- its the valving that is different. 16" rim F-bodies came with higher rate springs. The reason then for the difference is the fixed (non adjustable) compresion valving- because the rebound is adjustable.

With that stated- again I want to clarify that its just an educated guess.

i would have to agree with 2.8's guess. mounting wise there should not be a diffrence, it must be in the valving.

OK... so (theoretically, if your guess is correct) I should go with the 16" struts/shocks if I have Eibach Pro-Kit springs on the car?

lol.... maybe I should just call them

yes, if our guess is correct you would want the 16" version, because it 'Should' have more agressive valving.

but of course a call would not hurt and if you do call, please let us know what they say.
