what about a 6. rollbar and no sfc?

what about a 6. rollbar and no sfc?

anyone just do the 6. bar and not the sfc's or do the 6. bar first?

Seems like the 6. only would give better stifness/$$$ and save the weight of the SFC's. I have a T-Top car
any thoughts appreciated

will sticking a fork in the middle of a wet noodle make it any stronger?

it's the same thing with these cars...do the subframes first then do the cage...if the cage is even needed.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The roll bar doean't tie the front and rear subframes together. It's welded to plates that are welded to the sheetmetal of the car. The sheetmetal will still flex between the subframes.

Do SFC first, then a roll bar.

I have no idea what SFC weight. Mine were custom installed. My 6 point roll bar is 70 pounds.

like was said SFC tie the front and back together to make a more ridged chassis, roll bars, or cages are for crash and roll over protection

I like that wet noodle comparison..(although..maybe if ya stuck the fork in the long way,... ). The Spohn SFCs weigh less than 30 pounds, far less than the cage. So...a cage with no SFCs = more weight, less stiffness. Hmmm.....

thanks.....i got yelled at before for thinking that way and the guy told me the wet noodle comparison....so i can't take all the credit.
