I am going to go ahead and change over to tubular front control arms and coil overs and caster/camber plates. Now for the question, What front spring rate should I go with, the car will be used for a few scca events and mainly just for having fun on the street. Thanks for any help.

THere are two camps in spring rates for SCCA A/S or NASA CMC.
The soft spring guys and the hard spring guys.
The soft spring guys including Herb Adams run stock rate V6 springs
The hard spring guys like Ground Control like 800# to 1000# springs up front.
Thats what I put on my race car.

Spring rate has everything to do with weight of vehicle and motor V6, V8, Aluminum V8,etc..) Also the smoothness of the "terrain you are racing on. smoother tracks can run higher spring rates, where as bumper tracks can cause loss of traction do to being too stiff and glancing or lanching off of bumps. Higher spring rates and smaller bars are more preforable for track use and vica verca for street use in general consences- I run heavy springs for street also, most people would consider my car too stiff for prolonged or daily driving- heck it keeps me awake.
Well, I was thinking around a 750# spring rate up front as it will be getting driven on the street, however when I order if I don't specify a spring rate they will sen me a drag racing spring which will be a waste of time. So, thanks for the help guys.
