1LE rotors

Is anybody running cross drilled front or slotted 1LE rotors? Any improvement over the stock 1LE's or just for looks? I have performance friction pads right now, they seem to be a pretty good all around pad.
Thanks,
Murt

I have slotted baers.. even they tell you that they are mainly for cosmetics.. if you do some severe duty driving then they help for it is to aid in the outgassing of brake pads which can cause the pads to lose contact somewhat from the rotors..

Crossdrilling is a bit controversial because the chances of the rotor cracking is higher with the holes.. I have seen cracked drilled rotors, not a pretty sight.. but that is only under extreme conditions usually, if you drive that hard you should have the money for new rotors..

best bet for the money is to slot and zinc wash, but there are probably other opinions out there

who makes a 1-le slotted/crossdrilled option?

i have the gm parts version for stock disc brakes on the car that i removed when i put the baers on.

the difference with the zinc coating that is on the eradispeed rotors is night and day.

here is a pic of the gm version after sitting for less then a week with limited use.

here is a pic of the zinc coating with the same amount of time. both are basically brand new granted the gm setup had about 150 miles more between the two. i'd definately get them coated if they don't come that way on whatever you choose, but it is costly.

I have the same ones as Z28*****. Got them from autozone crossdrilled and slotted.

I installed the 1LE brakes front & rear about a month ago with Green stuff break pads and braided lines. The thing will throw you through the front window it stops so hard. No comparison to the stock brakes.

I was very pleased with the results. Unfortunately I can not give you a before and after with the slotted/drilled rotors.
