I have been reading for several hours through all of the stuff that comes up on the search.... But to no avail.
Here is my problem:
For quite some time now my brakes have been incredibly hard to push down and they hiss continuously while the brakes are engaged. So, I am about 100% certain that the diaphram in the brake booster is shot. Saturday I will go to Advanced Auto and buy a remanufactured Brake Booster and Master Cylinder for about $130. One of my friends who has changed a booster in the past on a different car (Cutlass) will be helping me. I REALLY NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE THIS REPAIR IN THE PAST TO PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO HELP A FELLOW THIRDGEN MEMBER OUT... I REALLY NEED DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS AS FAR AS REMOVAL OF THE OLD CRAP AND PUTTING THE NEW STUFF IN. ANY HELP, ADVICE OR ILLUSTRATIONS (like from an old trusty service manual) WOULD BE A LIFE-SAVER.
