What next???????

Hi Guys,

Right, i want to make my camaro handle as well as possible on these horrible windy things we brits laughingly call " Roads "

reading though all the threads i've taken other folks advice and ordered a wonderbar ( I have an 85 Z28 ), SFC's, Panhard rod and i'm going to box my lca's with the aid of my trusty mig welder!

The car already has IROC shocks and springs which were fitted not so long ago. i am running 15" rims with 225/60*15 tyres up front and 255/60*15 tyres at the back.

What would your guys advice be as what to do next?

I'm starting to think that i would be better of putting 16" rims on with lower profile tyres, then i would get less sidewall deflection when cornering. But i'm unsure.....so come on guys throw some ideas at me!!!

Cheers

Phil

i would say 16 or 17 with GOOD (how do you guys spell it over there?) Tyres.

you car can only handle as well as your car can stick to the pavement

Thanks Dewey316,

That what i was thinking about the tyres, it would seem to be the limiting factor.

Yeah, thats how we spell GOOD over here!!!! lol

lol - good one mate!

Another fairly low cost mod that will improve your handling is switching to poly sway bar and end link bushings front and rear.

Down the road there is still room for a Strut Tower Brace and aftermarket torque arm.

Cheers Guys

All sensible advice just what i needed....

There does seem to be an interesting difference in the "Same" language!

When i was in the states the other year there was this kid outside a liqour store, and he says to me " Can you buy me a fifth of whiskey? " so i goes " Sorry mate, no " and he says to me "Pardon?" so i repeated myself and he says "Do you speak English".........."Speak English!, i am f**kin English!!!" i replied!!

Kids eh?

Back to subject then.......poly bushes and endlinks seems to be the next thing to do, if simply from a cost point of view, then i think a second hand set of Iroc rims with sticky rubber...

Appreciate your input guys.

Phil

P.S Sweet Gta ya got there

If your planning on buying rims, you might want to look at SLP's web site. They have a nice 17 x 9.5 rim and tire package. i've been drooling over it for a while now!
