15x10 For the Front !!!

How about folks. Can it be done? Has anybody done it? Do they have fender flares installed?

I have a set of Aero 15x10 with 5" backspacing. They look to be sticking out a bit Hard to tell since there not mounted & setting on the ground.

I don't have any rubber on them yet, but was looking at about 27" or so.

With a test fit, the 5" BS is the absolute most you can go, cause of the strutes.

Just need some imput...

Thanks,

Ron

It'll be ok if u plan on just going straight! i've heard of people running 9" wide in the front, but not a 10. If they do fit wouldn't u be worried about throwing mud and crap all over the side of your car?

This will be a competition car only. I'm trying to get it Road Racing worthy, if I have to run in some unlimited or bring what you got - class.

I was looking at 11x15 - 24" tall tires from Hoosier. This might give it room to swing in & out.
I was thinking some modest flares to keep it track legal.

My goal is to keep the fronts & rear universal. Same BS, Size, etc...

Well If you want to keep the front and back universal i say go for it. That way if it doesn't work u'll have a spare set for the back I'd love to know how this turns out! Just don't make any hard turns and u should be ok.

I'm just going to mount one rim (currently only have 2) with a Goodyear G-19. From there I'll just mess around with the swing clearences, spacer if need be, & fender mods.
At worst I might have to get 8" rims for the front.
The 10" w/5BS should work realy good for the rear, so I'm OK so far.

I remember seeing hudge front tires on a 3rd gen on some website. I just can't find anymore, but he had his fenders flared enough to keep the tires under the car.

Thanks for the input.

Ron
