I have and 84 v6 firebird I plan on lowering and eventually upgradeing to a 355. now with say and 1 1/2 lower what size tire could I cram in there and not rub. and that's with the rims most likely off a 80's monte ss. and if anybody needs it I got cram specs for stock hight.

As far as the Monte wheels, they'd be 15 x 7" with a zero or -.25" offset. Third gen F 15 x 7" wheels would have a slight positive offset; might be better off with those.

I wouldn't run bigger than 235/60R15 on the 15x7 Monte wheels. That's what I have on my cars. BFG Radial T/As on one, Michelin XGT-H4s on another and then 215/65R15 Goodyears for another (restoration project)

yeah I was thinking 235s but with a lower profile more like a 50 or 55 series
