Has anyone pulled the front K-member with the engine in the car?
I've got a bad oil leak from the front of the pan that I could:
A) Disconnect half of everything under hood to practically pull the engine to reach the oil pan with the K-member bolted in, or:
B) While I'm doing a front spring/strut swap, pull out the front K-member with the engine still in the car.
If anyone has done it, I just wonder how hard it was to keep everything in place with the K-member pulled out. Do the engine mounts go to the K-member or direct to the frame? I have an engine lift to support things if needed, but I'm just wondering if I want to get that deep into it when it only has to last another year or two before an engine rebuild... Any pics of it out or partially in/out would be great.
